INTRODUCING A GLOBAL LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR STUDENTS

The Vocational Institute of Tourism in China is sourcing international internship opportunities in the tourism sector, including positions in service, promotion, hotel management, and scenic attractions. These internships, ranging from less than 3 months to more, offer a stipend of RMB 3000 (approximately USD 400) per month. They are seeking partnerships with enterprises willing to provide accommodation, meals, and transportation. English will be the working language, with online proficiency tests available for U.S. enterprises. Additionally, they are exploring wellness program collaborations and welcome American experts to contribute. They are also open to student exchange programs between Chinese and American colleges. Established in 2010, the Vocational Institute of Tourism is a public college registered with China's Ministry of Education, spanning over 160,000 square meters with more than 500 faculty members. It enrolls over 8,700 students from 14 regions, offering 31 majors, including tourism and hotel management, with a strong emphasis on cultural and tourism talent development. The college integrates ethnic cultural heritage with education through various national platforms and studios. It has been recognized as a National Ethnic Minority Traditional Sports Training Demonstration Base and National Ethnic Characteristic Craft Technology Collaborative Innovation Center.

AN INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN WORLD BATHING DAY

Dear hot springs family,

As the summer/winter solstice approaches, I am reminded of how fortunate I am to have you as part of my global hot springs family, and also feel strongly that there is no better time for us all than right now, to share our heartfelt and loving connection to the planet and each other, through our passion for soaking in ancient healing thermal mineral waters.

As you will be aware World Bathing Day June 22, is only a month away, and this simple but inspiring annual event is a great opportunity for us to come together to celebrate our common connection to water through the practice of bathing in thermal waters.

As you have participated in World bathing Day celebrations previously, you will already be aware of the important core principles of this unifying global project :

- respect and care for our blue planet and its precious waterways
- promote international understanding through thermal hot springs bathing
- the collective power of unity and celebration that is enabled through arts and culture

In admiration of your connection to water and thermal bathing, we would be honoured if you would join us again in this year’s global collaborative experience in the first weeks of June 2024, leading up to a shared expression across the day of Saturday June 22.

What next?
1. The World Bathing Day website has all the latest resources including : Press release, logos and the WBD24 Banner (to print & place next to your performing musicians when videoing for Global Sound Bath), etc
2. Get involved by sharing images of yourselves/your community, bathing at a hot springs venue with friends and family on social media, using the hashtag #worldbathingday
3. Arrange a musical act to perform a short 5 minute set adjacent to your hot springs pools, anytime from June 1 -14, and film them to include in the Global Sound Bath, that will be shared around the world on Saturday June 22.
